Poker is a family of comparing card games that have their origins in Persian, French and English games. A standard deck of 52 cards is used, and players bet according to the rules of the game. A player who bets more than the last bettor is said to be a “raiser.” He is then free to make a new bet. He can do this by raising or bluffing. He can also call, which means matching the bet.
